As a individual that has been in marketing and business for over 35 years, I give a regular critique of the good, the bad and the down right UGLY stuff that is thrown to us everyday by the media.
Here are some standard axioms:
AOL is the water hole for morons....I have the proof as a website owner. When 13% of members have AOL email and over 85% of customer service issues are from those members...it proves something. I wonder at times who turns the computers on for these people!
Another good example that AOL is for MORONS comes from my experience of trying to look at an article posted on AOL. Once I got past the article and wanted to move on to the next section I could not get the next page to open. Upon further reading of the first page I found in light small lettering "disable pop-up blocker for more". What kind of pathetic IDIOT programmer at AOL worked this up? First of all over 90% of computer users have no idea how to disable their pop-up blocker (and I am sure 99.9% of AOL'ers don't!). Second what kind of clueless moron programs a article like that? Proof that if you are a clueless programmer, you have a job waiting for you at AOL!
MySpace is one of the worst designed websites of all time. While I enjoy it and have a number of pages on there, the stupidity of the webmasters there defy understanding. What is with the captcha crap for emails? The search programs within the site are almost useless and you cannot find anyone by interest or keyword.
